Mercurius bag is a meticulously constructed piece of technology that requires a specific type of care to preserve its aesthetic and to allow it to be fully functional for generations to come. If your bag gets wet, it must be wiped immediately using a clean, ideally cotton cloth that’s free of chemicals. This process will prevent stains and blisters forming on the plant-based leather surface of the bag. Avoid exposing your Mercurius design to excessive heat, light and/or moisture. Sunlight can diminish the color and finish of your design, even through glass. Protect it from prolonged exposure to heat and other natural elements such as water and oil; as they all can harm the surface of your Mercurius design. Along with natural elements, also avoid letting your design get into contact with chemical-based substances such as perfumes, cosmetics, solvents and alcohols. Some of these materials can leave permanent marks, as can repeated contact with darker textiles on Mercurius designs that are lighter in color.

Our metal hardware is coated in precious materials. To protect these materials, avoid contact with water, perfumes, etc. and do not clean them with chemical products. Exclusive to Mercurius, this hardware is made using steel and brass, individually hand-polished and coated in fine gold, palladium or permabrass.

To ensure your Mercurius bag maintains its unique silhouette for generations to come, try not to overload it or place irregularly shaped items inside it.When storing your Mercurius design, place it upright in its protective dust cover, away from any source of moisture, light, and heat. Ensure extruding parts such as handles are in the upright position.
